Subject: Clarification regarding membership and ‘status-quo’ for newly created category of Service Association namely Group ‘B’ (Postal & RMS) - HSG-II, HSG-I and HSG-I (NFG).

• References were received from Postal Circles and Associations seeking clarification about the newly created Group ‘B’ category (HSG-II, HSG-I, and HSG-I (NFG) employees in Postal and RMS offices).
• A letter dated 07.01.2025 instructed all Postal Circles to maintain ‘status-quo’ until the next verification for this new category.
• Officials of HSG-II, HSG-I, and HSG-I (NFG) cadre who were members of other Service Associations before the creation of this new category will continue their membership in the same Association until the next verification.
• Members of Supervisors Associations (Bharatiya Postal, RMS, Administrative Supervisors Association and All India Association of Supervisors) can retain their membership in these Associations. Employees wishing to change their Association may do so as per applicable rules.
