No. CEPT-7/IT 2.0/Vol IV/digs dated at Bengaluru-560001, the 03-07-2025
Sub: SOP for RMS and Delivery Offices Operations during "No Working Days"- reg
This is regarding the operational procedures to be followed in RMS and Delivery Post Offices during the "No Working Days" - i.e., the two days preceding to the scheduled rollout date (generally Sunday and Monday).
As per the standard process prescribed for rollout, all the offices have to observe "No working day" for two calendar days preceding the date of roll-out. However, in order to process and clear the pendency of mail articles to the extent possible, the following relaxation can be allowed by the Chief Postmaster General/Post Master General concerned.
1. RMS Offices can work as usual in CSI system, till the day-set of the last date (till the date preceding the date of rollout, T-1). For ex: If rollout date of an Office is 08/07/2025, RMS units can process the articles/bags till the day-set of 07/07/2025 and data to be synced to CSI central server. Night-set for 07/07/2025 should be closed.
2. The Delivery Post offices can undertake delivery of mail articles (other than articles involved financial transactions, which affects treasury balance) on both the "No working days", as usual in CSI. That means, all mail articles except COD/VP/ eMOS can be delivered during this period and returns to be updated in CSI. However, care should be taken that the data is synced to CSI central
server.
3. In all the cases where the articles are in-deposit condition, at the end of the day/set, such articles should be closed and kept in a station bag. Next day (Rollout day) all those station bags can be received in APT Solution for processing.
It is requested to issue necessary instructions to all the concerned. This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
