Selection Procedure

Two-Stage Examination Process:

1. Stage I - Theory Test (80 marks, 90 mins)
   • General Knowledge (20 marks)
   • General Intelligence & Reasoning (15 marks)
   • Simple Arithmetic (15 marks)
   • Road Sense & Vehicle Maintenance (30 marks)
2. Stage II - Practical Test (20 marks, 40 mins)
   • Defect Identification & Minor Repairs (10 marks)
   • Heavy Motor Vehicle Driving (10 marks)

Qualifying Criteria:

SC/ST	33% in each paper
OBC/EWS	37% in each paper
Others	40% in each paper

Key Notes

• ✅ Eligibility: Valid LMV/HMV license + 3 years driving experience + 10th pass
• ⚠️ Age Limit: Max 56 years (as on application closing date)
• 📝 Documents Required: Integrity certificate, Vigilance clearance, APARs (last 5 years)
• 🚫 No Withdrawal: Candidates cannot withdraw applications after submission
• 🔄 Deputation Period: Max 3 years (including previous deputation)
• ⚖️ Reservation: Not applicable for deputation/absorption posts

Essential Requirements

For Departmental Candidates:

Regular Dispatch Rider/Group C employees in Pay Level-1 with valid driving license

For Other Ministries/Armed Forces:

1. Valid LMV/HMV license
2. Knowledge of motor mechanism
3. 3+ years driving experience
4. 10th standard pass

For Ex-Servicemen:

Personnel due to retire within 1 year may apply (initially on deputation, then re-employment)
