Key Information:

1. Suspension of Services:

   • The booking and transmission of all categories of mail items destined for the United States will be suspended effective from 25th August 2025.

2. Exceptions:

   • The suspension does not apply to:

     • Documents/Letters

     • Gift items up to USD 100 in value

3. Reason for Suspension:

   • This action is due to recent regulatory changes by the U.S. Administration under Executive Order No. 14324 (effective 29th August 2025).

   • Carriers bound for the U.S. have expressed inability to carry postal shipments because the required mechanisms for duty collection and data exchange (as mandated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection) are not yet fully defined.

4. Status & Refunds:

   • The Department of Posts is monitoring the situation and working to restore services at the earliest.

   • For any items that have already been booked but cannot be dispatched, a postage refund can be claimed.
