Subject: Re-categorization of Official Language Cadre – clarification.

In supersession of the OM of even number dated 24th August, 2022, it is to convey that the proposal for re-categorization of the Senior Translation Officer (STO) Grade of the Official Language Cadre in the Department of Posts from Circle Cadre to All India Cadre has been approved by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T).

2. It is hereby clarified that:

(a) The Senior Translation Officer (STO) Grade stands re-categorized as an All India Cadre.

(b) The Junior Translation Officer (JTO) Grade shall continue as Circle Cadre.

(c) AD(OL) and DD(OL) will remain same as existing i.e. All India Cadre.

3. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
