Respected Madam,

With reference to the subject cited above, this Federation respectfully submits the following for kind consideration and necessary action.

It is submitted that the PA Wing of the Postal Directorate, vide Memo No.301(60)/2025/PACE/LDCE/2024/790-814 dated 16.01.2026, has forfeited the promotion to the post of Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) of IP & TAFS Group 'B' in respect of 11 candidates who were declared successful in the AAO LDCE – 2024.

In this connection, it is further submitted that the AAO LDCE – 2024 was notified for a total of 464 vacancies. However, the results were declared only for 442 candidates, leaving 22 vacancies unfilled. The year-wise break-up of vacancies notified and results declared is as under:

From the above, it is evident that even at the time of declaration of results, 22 vacancies remained unfilled. Subsequently, due to the forfeiture of promotion by 11 candidates as communicated vide the above mentioned memo dated 16.01.2026, the number of vacant posts has further increased to 33.

It is respectfully submitted that non-filling of the notified vacancies defeats the very purpose of conducting the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, especially when eligible and meritorious candidates are available in the select panel. Further, continued vacancies in the cadre of Assistant Accounts Officer adversely affect the functioning of Accounts Offices and increase the workload on the existing staff.

It is also submitted that declaration of supplementary results to the extent of unfilled vacancies has precedent in similar LDCE examinations, with the objective of ensuring optimal manpower utilization and administrative efficiency.

In view of the above facts and circumstances, this Federation humbly requests your kind authority to consider declaring supplementary results for all the remaining unfilled vacancies of AAO LDCE - 2024, including those arising due to forfeiture of promotion, by drawing candidates from the existing merit list, as per rules.

This Federation sincerely hopes that the genuine grievance of the eligible officials will be sympathetically considered and early action will be taken in the interest of justice and administrative exigencies.
