3. Main Directive
- After reviewing the current mail transmission situation, the Department of Posts will use transit services from other designated operators.
- Details of these arrangements are provided in the Annexure for information and necessary updation.

- GM (CEPT), Mysore – tasked with uploading this OM on the India Post website and updating software/POS for the indicated mail categories.
- All OEs (Operational Establishments)

Special Notes from Annexure
No Service Countries:
- North Korea, Pakistan, Libya, Puerto Rico, Tokelau, Tristan da Cunha, Syria, Yemen, Timor Leste, Guam, St. Helena, South Georgia & Sandwich Islands.
Suspended Services:
- Dominica, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Virgin Islands, Mariana Islands.
Closed Transit Arrangements:
- Myanmar via Thailand (Closed transit).
Special Routing:
- Palestine routed via Israel.
- Ukraine via Poland (CT).
- Chile via Uruguay (from 13.12.2024).
Multiple Categories:
- Some countries allow EMS, Letters, Parcels, ITPS (e.g., Egypt, Israel, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda).

- UAE (OT/CT) is the most common transit hub for Asian and African countries.
- Netherlands Post (PostNL) handles many Caribbean and Latin American destinations.
- France (OT) is the transit hub for French territories and African francophone countries.
- U.K. (OT) manages British Overseas Territories.
- New Zealand & Australia handle Pacific Island nations.
- Argentina & Uruguay cover South American countries like Chile, Peru, Paraguay.
- Poland (CT) is designated for Ukraine.
