Subject: Upgradation of Bilaspur Postal Division from Class- II (Group B) to Class- I (Group A) Division and simultaneous downgradation of Durg Postal Division from Class- I (Group- A) Division to class- II (Group- B) Division in Chhattisgarh Circle- reg.

I am directed to refer to Chhattisgarh Circle's letter no. Estt./8- 87/D.O. Durg dated 21.11.2025, on the subject mentioned above, and to say that the proposal for upgradation of Bilaspur Postal Division from Class- II (Group B) to Class- I (Group A) Division and simultaneous downgradation of Durg Postal Division from Class- I (Group- A) Division to class- II (Group- B) Division in Chhattisgarh Circle was examined in consultation with Integrated Finance Wing (IFW) of this Directorate. The proposal has been approved by the Competent Authority, subject to review of the financial performance of the upgraded/downgraded divisions after one year. Circle may take all out measures to improve ECR of both the Divisions, to make them self sufficient.

This sanction issues with the approval of Competent Authority. The advice of Integrated Finance Wing was conveyed vide their Dy No. 209/2025-26/FA- CS(P) dated 14.01.2026.
