Subject: Clarification regarding implementation of e-Office system - reg.

Reference is invited to this office note of even number dated 27.01.2026 (copy enclosed) regarding implementation of the e-Office system across all Postal Units by 28th February, 2026.

In this regard, it is clarified that the implementation of the e-Office system is intended only for Administrative Offices, namely: Circle Offices, Regional Offices, Divisional Offices and Office of GM (Finance).

The e-Office system is not intended to be implemented in operative units, such as Head Post Offices, Sub Post Offices and other field/operative offices.

Accordingly, all concerned CPMGs may ensure implementation of the e-Office system only in the above-mentioned administrative offices within the stipulated timeline. Also, all manual/physical files should be converted in e-files and the same shall be phased out at the earliest. Any issues or constraints faced in implementation shall be brought to the notice of this office with complete details.
