India Post and TRAI Sign MoU to Strengthen Rural Telecom Connectivity

Strengthening connectivity through collaboration! The Department of Posts (DoP) and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) signed an MoU in New Delhi on 10 July 2026. The MoU was signed between Ms. Manisha Bansal Badal, General Manager (CCS & RB), DoP, and Shri S. M. K. Chandra, Joint Advisor, TRAI, to conduct a nationwide survey assessing the mobile network performance of Airtel, Jio, Vodafone and BSNL. Leveraging 1.4 lakh+ Branch Post Offices, 2.7 lakh Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) and coverage across 5.68 lakh villages, this will be one of the country's largest village-level telecom network performance surveys. #IndiaPost #TRAI #DepartmentOfPosts #MoU #DigitalIndia #ViksitBharat
