UIDAI Notification: Transition from ECMP to Universal Client (UC)

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is to bring to the notice of all Registrars and Enrolment Agencies (EAs) that the ECMP application would be phased out with effect from 30th Sep 2026 and enrolment & update transactions shall be carried out using the Universal Client (UC), only.

To ensure a smooth transition, Registrars and EAs are required to undertake the following:

1. Hands-on familiarisation of their operators with UC functionalities, ensuring that they are well-versed with the new system before the effective date,
2. Ensure that daily UC transactions are carried out by operators. In cases of problems faced, they should reach out to the tech support and RO concerned, ECMP should only used as a fall-back option.
3. Coordinate with concerned ROs and TT&C Division for training the operators on UC.
