Subject: Implementation of BPR Initiatives at NSH, PH, Office of Exchange, Transit Mails Office, etc. at 12 Pilot cities under Mail & Parcel Optimization Project (MPOP) of Department of Posts – reg.

This has reference to Postal Directorate letter of even no. dated 14/07/2026 regarding roll out of pilots of 26 BPR initiatives including the BPR initiative related to continuous sorting, in 12 pilot cities.

2. A number of references have been received from the field units regarding issues faced in the implementation of BPR initiatives related to continuous sorting.

3. The matter has been examined and it has been decided to keep the implementation of BPR initiatives related to continuous sorting in abeyance till further instructions.

4. Revised instructions/SOP for the implementation of BPR initiative for continuous sorting will be shared in due course.

5. This issues with the approval of competent authority.
