Invitation of Applications for Two Posts of Instructor (on Deputation) at Postal Training Centre, Darbhanga

Subject: Calling for applications from volunteers for two posts of Instructor on deputation at Postal Training Centre (PTC), Darbhanga, Bihar.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be from IPOs cadre, OR a PA/SA/LSG with at least 8 years of service (counted from PA/SA cadre).
Should be fluent in English and Hindi.
Must have sound knowledge of departmental rules, procedures, and software like Finacle and IT 2.0.
No disciplinary proceedings pending.
Age limit: Not more than 52 years as of the application deadline.
Must have completed the cooling-off period as per DoPT guidelines for previous Instructor posts.

Job Responsibilities:

Full-time teaching of subjects related to Postal/RMS operations.
Prepare/update Standard Training Packages for all cadres (MTS to Group B).
Develop training materials for iGOT and Dak Karmyogi Portal, including manual/online question papers, evaluation of answer scripts.
Contribute to video editing, script writing, and course designing.
Dedicate fully to training activities, both inside and outside the classroom.
Willing to undergo training in India or abroad as required.

Tenure & Conditions:

Tenure: 4 years (extendable up to 6 years based on performance).
Must join on short notice.
Withdrawal of candidature after selection or during tenure will not be allowed.
Can be repatriated to parent unit anytime before tenure ends, without reason.

Benefits:

Training Allowance: 12% of basic pay.
Departmental quarters (if available) with standard license fee recovery.

Mandatory Training After Joining:

Must complete DTS, DOT, and FDP courses on iGOT within one week of joining.
Performance will be reviewed quarterly.

Post-Tenure Benefit:

After completing tenure, the official is eligible for posting at a place of choice, subject to administrative conditions.

Apply in the prescribed proforma (annexure attached).

Must be forwarded through proper channel by the controlling authority, along with:

Personal recommendation
APAR grading for the last 5 years
Vigilance clearance certificate
Last date to receive applications: 23rd September 2026.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview/test (date to be intimated later).

Circulation & Publicity:

The circular has been sent to all Circle Heads, Postmaster Generals, CEPT Mysore (for uploading on indiapost.gov.in), all PTC Directors, RTCs, and displayed on the PTC Darbhanga notice board.
