Subject: Undertaking of Proof of Concept (PoC) of the “Deceased Claim Settlement Module” – regarding.

Respected Sir/Madam,

It is intimated that a Proof of Concept (PoC) of the “Deceased Claim Settlement Module” is to be undertaken in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal Circles with immediate effect, with a view to facilitate the online submission and processing of deceased claim settlement cases for Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) schemes.

In this regard, the enclosed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), containing guidelines for claimants and officials of Post Offices, is forwarded h/w for information and necessary action. The SOP may be circulated among all concerned officials for guidance and followed during the PoC.

The Circles are requested to take immediate necessary action to ensure smooth implementation of the PoC, including sensitisation of the concerned officials and dissemination of information among the public to facilitate awareness and adoption of the module. Any operational issues or difficulties encountered during the PoC may be brought to the notice of this Directorate and CEPT for examination and necessary action.

The progress of the PoC may be monitored closely, and feedback regarding its implementation, including suggestions for improvement, may be furnished to this Directorate for further necessary action.
