Selection Procedure

• Application Submission:
• Volunteers submit Part I & II of the form (Annexure I) to Divisional Heads by 20 Jun 2025.
• Required documents: CTC of pay slip, first page of Service Book, and Divisional Head’s certificate (Annexure II).
• Divisional Head Action:
• Scrutinizes applications, certifies service record, and forwards to OIC APS Records by 30 Jun 2025.
• APS Records Verification:
• Validates documents; eligible candidates are added to the Field Force List.
• Medical Screening:
• Conducted at AROS/ZROS in Aug 2025. Divisional Heads relieve volunteers for exams.
• Final Dispatch:
• Medically fit volunteers are sent to APS Wing, Kamptee for training.

1. Rank & Pay Structure

Civil Post (DoP)	APS Rank	Pay Options
Asst Supdt/HSG	Subedar	Civil Pay + 12% FSA or Army Pay (higher of the two)
Inspector/LSG	Naib Subedar	Army Pay includes MSP (₹5,200 + DA)
PA/SA	Warrant Officer	Example: PA’s Army Pay ≈ ₹62,731/month (vs. ₹43,500 civil)
Postman/MTS	Naik/Sepoy	Free ration, HRA, and allowances

2. Allowances & Perks

• Field Service Allowance (FSA): 12% of basic pay (civil option).
• Leave Benefits: 56 days annual leave, 30 days casual leave, 300-day accumulation.
• Travel: Free LTC (AC 2-tier for JCOs, AC 3-tier for Sepoys), 50% concession on unlimited trips.
• AGI Insurance: ₹37.5 lakh cover, loans for education/vehicles.
• CSD Canteen: Discounts on goods (e.g., ₹10,500/month for JCOs).

3. Career & Education

• Promotions: IPs can become Subedar in 2–3 years or clear SSB for Lieutenant (Level 10 pay).
• Education: Reservations in Army schools, KVs, and professional colleges (e.g., Armed Forces Medical College).
• Foreign Postings: UN missions (e.g., Lebanon, Congo) with $1,600/month allowance.

4. Medical & Housing

• Free healthcare for family and dependents.
• Eligibility for Army Housing (AWHO) after 10 years of service.
