POS Version 5.3 - Introduction of Gyan Post Service under Domestic Mail Booking

Respected Sir/Madam,

With reference to the introduction of the new service – GYAN POST under Domestic Mail Booking, PoSV_5.3 is scheduled to be rolled out today (01-05-2025) in all Head Post Offices, Business Post Centres (BPC) and BNPL Offices, as per the instructions received from the Directorate.

The rollout plan for the remaining Post Offices will be communicated shortly.

The list of offices included in today's rollout is shared below for your reference. A detailed email outlining the steps for upgradation has already been sent by CSI Team to Circle IT Teams for necessary action.

Dear CIRCLE SPOCS,

PoSV_5.3 is scheduled to be rolled out in all HO, BPC & BNPL offices tomorrow morning i.e 1st May,2025 . Please inform all the HO, BPC & BNPL offices of your respective circle to update the application before starting the Business operations.

Newly added feature :

• Introduction of new service GYAN POST under Domestic Mail booking (Refer to release note available in application for further features detail)

Steps to followed for upgradation:

• Close Back-office & counter application at all nodes
• Run Daily sync and wait for successful execution.
• ⁠Run high sync and wait for successful execution
• Launch the application , you will get pop-up to update the application
• Update both Counter & BO application to latest version(5.3)
• Proceed for the transaction.

Note :

It is requested to other offices to not upgrade the Application without official confirmation via email or Group message to refrain from any impact on Business activity
