Subject: Regarding joining of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) who have declined offer of appointment to posts in the regular establishment viz. PA/ SA/ PM/ MG/ MTS - regarding.

Madam/Sir

I am directed to refer to the subject mentioned above and to say that it has come to the notice of Directorate that some Circles have not allowed Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), who have declined offer of appointment to posts in the regular establishment (viz. PA/SA/PM/MG/MTS), to rejoin their original GDS posts.

2. In this context, it is requested to allow such GDS officials to rejoin their original GDS post with immediate effect, provided they have formally declined the offer of appointment/submitted unwillingness to join to the regular post.

3. This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
