Subject: Promotion and posting orders in the grade of Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) of IP&TAFS Group 'B' consequent to declaration of results of AAO LDCE-2024.

Key Details:

Promotion of Officials:

• 442 officials are promoted to the grade of Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) in Level 8 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Rs. 47,600–1,51,100).
• Postings are specified in Annexure A.

Joining Instructions:

• Promoted officials must join their assigned offices within 30 days of the order's issuance.
• Failure to join will be treated as refusal of promotion and dealt with as per rules.

Reporting Locations:

• Officials allocated to DoT HQ must report to the SEA Section of DoT HQ.
• Officials allocated to DoP HQ must report to the PA-Wing of DoP HQ.

Provisional Promotions:

• Candidates marked "Provisional - Graduation status to be confirmed" must submit proof of graduation within 30 days.
• Promotion will be nullified if eligibility criteria are not met.

Other Conditions:

• No requests for change in posting will be entertained.
• Disciplinary/Vigilance cases: Officials with pending cases or current penalties will not be promoted.
• Probation: A 2-year probation period applies to all promoted officials except those from Group B (Senior Accountants).

Legal Note:

• The order is subject to the outcome of OA No. 815/2024 before the Hon’ble CAT Lucknow Bench.
