Subject : GDS Online engagement Schedule- January-2025 - Withholding of Posts/Candidates before release of List - IV - reg.

CEPT is requested to refer to their email dated 10.06.2025 on the above-cited subject.

2. In this context, the matter has been examined and approved the follows :

S. No	Issues Involved and Action taken	Applicable to S. No. of the table prepared by CEPT (in 'to be Withheld List')
1.	Issue: Candidates status could not be updated within due date or marked as 'rejected' due technical error/server not responding. Candidate have joined the post. Action : The next list for these posts need not to be released. A window to be provided to update the status in the portal to the candidates.	1,2,7,9
2.	Issue: Final reminder date Expired. The matter was discussed with the concerned Circle for clarity. There is confusion about the merit calculation in these cases. The Circle has also referred the matter to Directorate, which is being examined. Action : Pending examination of the issue by the Directorate, the next list for these posts need not to be released.	3,4,5
3.	Issue: Candidate previously removed from Tumkur Division and now applied under Chikkamangaluru division. Circle sought clarification from directorate. Action : The candidature need to be cancelled, as the candidate was removed from the post of GDS earlier and therefore, not eligible now. The CEPT may release the 4th Supplementary List for this post.	6

Issue: Applicant has both Hearing and Speech Impairment as per disability certificate. The case has been taken up with Directorate for clarification. 4. Action : Speech Impairment (Dumb) is not covered the prescribed categories of disability identified for the post of GDS. Therefore, the candidate is disqualified for engagement as GDS. The CEPT may release the 4th Supplementary List for this post.	8
Issue: Post was wrongly notified. Another candidate already joined under Rule-3 transfer. Candidate selected in previous list assigned another vacant post by the Circle. 5. Action : The next list for these posts need not to be released.	11
Issue: Candidate applied for compassionate appointment but appointment yet to be finalized. 6. Action : Already notified post should not be considered for compassionate appointment. Therefore, CEPT may release the 4th Supplementary List for this post.	10
Issue: Circle request to withhold the post as request received for Rule-3 transfer. 7. Action : Rule -3 Process is completely online, which was completed before issue of the notification. No such request can be entertained. The CEPT may release the 4th Supplementary List for this post.	12

3. In addition to above, CEPT may release the result post GDS ABPM, (UR) of Padmamala BO under Nadia North Division, which was withheld by CEPT on the request of West Bengal Circle, in view of the disposal of the OA No. 1087 of 2017 in favour of the Department.

4. Therefore, except for the posts mentioned at S.No 6,8,10 and 12 (in the ‘to be withheld’ list provided by CEPT) above, the next list of the remaining posts may not be released.
