SOP – Booking of Domestic Mails by Franchisee through Online Portal and Induction in Post Office

1. Introduction

• Franchise Operators must book mail articles through the APT customer self-service portal.
• Bookings (single or bulk) must be inducted at the linked Post Office before 5:00 PM.
• Ensure sufficient wallet balance before booking.
• Currently, only Domestic Mail booking is allowed.

2. Login Process

• Go to: https://app.indiapost.gov.in/customer-selfservice/login
• Enter login credentials → Homepage opens.

3. Pre-Requisites for Booking

• Register as Franchise Operator under: Registered Services → Add Additional Services → Register as a Partner.
• Ensure Franchise Operator service is enabled.
• Maintain sufficient wallet balance.

4. Franchise Operator Dashboard Options

1. Wallet Balance – View and refresh current wallet balance.
2. Recharge Wallet – Add money via QR/UPI (Scan QR → Pay → Check status → Balance updates).
3. Bulk Booking – Upload Excel template with booking data → Generate booking reference → Pay from Wallet → Download receipt/labels.
4. Domestic Article Booking – Enter Article, Sender, Recipient details → Add to cart → Pay via Wallet → Print receipts.
5. Pending Booking References – Complete unfinished bookings.
6. My Bookings – View past bookings (date/type) and print receipts/labels.

5. Induction of Articles at Linked Post Office

• Go to: Pickup Management → Induction Management → Induction of Articles → Franchise Articles.
• Select Franchise → Booking Reference ID → Fetch Bookings.
• Verify details (weight, value, address).
• If discrepancies occur, extra amount is auto-deducted from Wallet.
• Confirm and Induct Articles.
• Post Office can print receipt/label after induction.

✅ Key Notes

• Maintain wallet balance before booking.
• Use correct Excel template for bulk booking.
• Hand over articles to Post Office by 5:00 PM daily.
• Discrepancy amounts are auto-adjusted from wallet.
• Receipts and labels can be printed at both portal and Post Office.
