Important Update: New Restriction Implemented for Treasury Day-End Process in Case of TCB and DTR Mismatch

This is to inform you that a new restriction has been introduced in the Treasury Day-End procedure. Effective immediately, users will only be prompted to enter mismatch account codes when there is a discrepancy between the closing balances of the TCB (Treasury Cash Book) and the DTR (Daily Transaction Register).

To ensure accuracy and compliance:

• The Treasurer must verify that the TCB matches the physical cash balance before proceeding.
• The mismatch entry option is strictly reserved for missing or unrecorded accounting entries—not for cash differences.

Important:

• Do not enter mismatch codes for cash-related discrepancies in the TCB.
• Mismatch entries are solely intended for accounting adjustments that are absent in the DTR. These will be reconciled later by the account office during daily verification.

No user should enter mismatch entries for cash differences in the TCB. Mismatch is strictly meant for recording accounting entries that are not reflected in the DTR, which will further be reconciled at the account office during daily account verification.
