Subject: Issue impacting franking operations -reg.

The undersigned is directed to say that the following issues have been brought to the notice of this Directorate by franking machine vendors which are impacting franking operations in postal circles:-

(i) License creation and renewal: Customer are experiencing delays in obtaining new licenses and renewals due to challenges in the license fee payment, verification, and generation processes.

(ii) Rejection of Franked Articles: Several post offices are not accepting franked articles reflecting decimal values. The franking machines have already been updated to display decimal values as per Letter No. PO-27-04/2024-PO (i) issued by PO Division. However, the post offices booking system continue to show rounded off values, resulting in non-acceptance of such articles.

Therefore, all postal circles are requested to furnish a report on the aforesaid issues to this Directorate by 14.11.2025.

This issues with the approval of competent authority.
