📖 Definitions
4. "Aggrieved women" defined in:
Answer: Section 2(a)
6. "Aggrieved woman" means:
(a) In relation to workplace - woman of any age whether employed or not
(b) In relation to dwelling place - woman employed in such dwelling place
14. Sexual Harassment includes:
• Physical contact and advances
• Demand or request for sexual favours
• Sexually coloured remarks
• Showing pornography
• Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature
⚖️ Committees
18. Constitution of Internal Complaints Committee:
Dealt under Section 4
20. Internal Complaints Committee composition:
• Presiding Officer (must be woman)
• Minimum 2 employees committed to women's cause
• 1 member from NGO/association
25. Local Committee constitution:
For establishments with less than 10 workers or complaint against employer
📝 Complaint Procedure
28. Time limit for complaint:
Three months from date of incident
34. Inquiry completion time:
90 days
37. Report submission time:
Ten days from inquiry completion
💼 Employer Duties
48. Duties of employer include:
• Provide safe working environment
• Display penal consequences
• Organize workshops and awareness programs
• Provide necessary facilities to committees
• Treat sexual harassment as misconduct
54. Penalty for non-compliance:
Fine up to Rs.50,000/-
