Subject: Instructions on filling up of Accounts Line posts of Postal/RMS wing-regarding.

Sir/Madam,

I am directed to refer to this office’s letter of even number dated 11.02.2025 on the filling up of Account line posts of Postal /RMS wing for consolidation of Account line posts of Postal/RMS wing with the General line.

In this regard, all Postal Circles vide this office’s letter of even no. dated 02.06.2025 were requested to first complete the DPC process for the vacancy year 2025 for promotion to general line posts as well Accounts Line Posts as per available Recruitment Rules of respective cadres before consolidation of accounts line posts with general line and then the process of consolidation of Account line posts with general line in terms of Directorate letter dated 11.02.2025 be initiated with effect from vacancy year 2026.

Now, the Competent Authority in this Department has decided that the process for the consolidation of the accounts line with general line shall commence w.e.f. vacancy year 2027 instead of 2026 after the finalization of the modalities of the merger of accounts line with general line. Accordingly, all circles are requested to complete the DPC process for the vacancy year 2026 for promotion to general line posts as well Accounts Line Posts as per existing Recruitment Rules of the said posts.

This may be treated as URGENT.
