Promotion of Personalized Cheque Book (PCB) facility

Dear Madam Sir,

As you are aware, the Department of Posts has introduced the facility of Personalized Cheque Book (PCB) for Post Office Savings Account (POSA) customers w.e.f. 08.05.2026 vide SB Order No. 05/2026.

The introduction of Personalized Cheque Book marks an important step towards modernization of POSB services and enhancement of customer experience. The Personalized Cheque Book contains pre-printed details of the account holder such as name, account number and IFSC of the Department thereby providing enhanced convenience, improved security features and banking experience at par with contemporary financial institutions.

I request you to undertake promotion and publicity of the Personalized Cheque Book facility across the Circle so as to create maximum awareness among customers and encourage adoption of the facility. Special emphasis may kindly be given to the following:

i. Display of posters/notices regarding Personalized Cheque Book facility prominently at all Post Offices;

ii. Dissemination of information through social media handles, customer outreach programmes and local publicity channels;

iii. Sensitization of all field units, including Postal staff, regarding salient features and customer benefits of the facility;

iv. Encouraging eligible POSA customers visiting Post Offices to opt for Personalized Cheque Books;

v. Ensuring proper guidance to customers regarding the request submission process and delivery mechanism.

This initiative is expected to significantly enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen the image of Department of Posts as a modern and customer-centric financial service provider.
