Desktop Configuration Guide for Finacle CBS – India Post Payment Bank

India Post Payment Bank Project - Desktop Setup for Finacle CBS

First step is to enable ADMINISTRATOR user (if not enabled). Check JAVA version. Download CBS setup folder under which we get required JAVA version & Registry updater with below link:

Under this download we will get 4 files under CBS setup folder:

1. hosts
2. iereq
3. jre-7u45-windows-i586
4. Finacle.url (Short Cut)

Now follow the following steps in Finacle Configuration:

1. We need to uninstall JAVA (all versions) in system
2. Install the JAVA version downloaded with above shared link
3. Copy the HOST file which you will get in CBS SETUP folder to the following directory:
   C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
4. Restart your system
5. Go to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items
6. Click on Java (32bit)
7. If we are getting more than one line, go to Step No. 1
8. Now click on Security tab
9. Make sure security level is MEDIUM (if not, drag the button to MEDIUM)
10. Click on OK
11. Use below path:
    Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Default Programs > Set Default Programs
12. Now we need to set Internet Explorer as default program
13. Restart your System
14. Now click on Finacle shortcut
15. Click on TOOL tab, then click on Internet Options
16. Go to Security tab
17. Click on Internet icon (Internet Options)
    • Select a zone to view or change security settings.
    • Security level for this zone: Custom
    • Custom settings - To change the settings, click Custom level. To use the recommended settings, click Default level.
    • Enable Protected Mode (requires restarting Internet Explorer)
18. Click on Custom level
19. Under settings, we need to disable the POP-UP BLOCKER
20. Click on OK
21. Now repeat steps 19 & 20 for LOCAL INTRANET, TRUSTED SITES & RESTRICTED SITES
22. Now click on Trusted Sites, under this click on Sites tab, enter Finacle URL, and click on ADD
23. RESTART YOUR SYSTEM

Now click on Finacle icon and we need to ACCEPT & ALLOW all popups which come when we are opening Finacle.
