Sub: Scheduled DC–DR Drill on 28.06.2026 – Operational Instructions for Mail Booking, Processing and Delivery – reg.

Kindly refer to the instructions issued by PMU Division regarding the scheduled Test DC–DR Drill to be conducted on 28.06.2026 during which the APT and Dream app will not be available during maintenance window (i.e. 0600 hrs to 1200 hrs. on 28.06.2026) (copy of letter enclosed)

2 During the period when the APT application/DREAM application remains unavailable, booking, processing and delivery operations dependent upon APT/DREAM app may be temporarily affected. In order to minimize inconvenience to customers and ensure orderly restoration of operations, the following instructions are to be complied with by all concerned offices.
  • All Booking Post Offices & BNPL Centres shall inform major customers, particularly 24 Speed Post & 48 Speed Post customers, on 27.06.2026 itself that article tracking may not be available during the scheduled downtime on the morning of 28.06.2026 and that there may be a temporary delay in processing and delivery.
  • Booking of Speed Post articles during the downtime shall remain suspended and shall resume immediately after restoration of the application.
  • Article scanning, Receipt and dispatch of mails may be regulated in the NSH/ICH in such a way that articles/bags are processed immediately after restoration of the application.
  • Processing Hubs, BNPL Centres, TMOs etc. nigh sets shall be guided suitably to about this maintenance activity and to do their proceedings in accordance with schedules maintenance commencing time i.e. 0600 hrs.
  • Adequate staff shall be kept available immediately after restoration to clear the accumulated workload.
  • Delivery offices shall commence article receipt, invoicing and delivery operations immediately after restoration of APT services. All Divisions shall closely monitor clearance of pendency.
  • MMU Dn of Circle Offices shall closely monitor the operational impact during the maintenance window and maintain liaison with CEPT for resolution of any technical issues.
3. These instructions may be disseminated to all concerned offices for strict compliance.

4. CEPT has been requested to invoke the BCP during the DC–DR Drill and to circulate a detailed BCP SOP to smoothly run the operations at Booking offices, Processing Hubs, TMOs and Delivery Offices. If that BCP plan is circulated before scheduled maintenance than operational activities at Booking Offices, Processing Hubs, TMOs etc. shall be run according to the guidelines mentioned in the BCP-SOP.
