Subject: Approval of Migration Plan for GDS Compassionate Engagement Portal and Commencement of Migration Activity

Sir,

Kindly refer to your office e-mail dated 16.07.2026 forwarding the migration plan for migration of the GDS Compassionate Engagement Portal from IT 1.0 to APT 2.0.

In this regard, it is informed that the Competent Authority has approved the migration plan. Accordingly, CEPT is requested to commence the migration activity from 27.07.2026 and complete the same within 10 (ten) days, strictly in accordance with the approved migration plan.

During the migration period, the GDS Compassionate Engagement Portal in IT 1.0 shall remain unavailable. After completion of the migration, only the existing cases pending at the CCE and DPS levels shall continue to be processed in IT 1.0, as envisaged in the approved migration plan.

In view of the above, all Postal Circles are requested to dispose of all pending GDS Compassionate Engagement cases by 24.07.2026, to the extent possible, to facilitate smooth migration. The enclosed approved migration plan may be followed strictly, and all necessary cooperation may be extended to CEPT to ensure timely and successful completion of the migration process. CEPT is requested to keep this office informed of the progress of the migration and confirm its successful completion immediately after the activity is concluded.
