Sub: Clarification on Acceptance of Provisional Degree Certificates

Ref: Your e-mail dated 29.06.2026

Kindly refer to your communication seeking clarification regarding the acceptance of provisional degree certificates for enrolment under Postal Life Insurance (PLI).

In this connection, attention is invited to Directorate Letter No. F.No. 25-01/2022-LI dated 15.03.2023, wherein it has been clarified that PLI proposals may be accepted on the basis of a provisional degree certificate or final-year mark sheet, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility conditions.

It is observed that the above instructions do not prescribe any time limit or validity period for the acceptance of a provisional degree certificate or final-year mark sheet. Accordingly, it is requested to take necessary action in accordance with the provisions contained in the aforesaid Directorate letter.
