STAKEHOLDERS CONSULTED BY 8TH CPC

2643. SHRI MEHAR SINGH:
Will the Minister of Finance be pleased to state:

(a) the details of stakeholders that Central Pay Commission (CPC) has consulted, so far, along with the details of stakeholders which are yet to be consulted;

(b) whether the 8th Central Pay Commission would submit its report before the timeline of 18 months; and

(c) if so, the details thereof?
ANSWER

(SHRI PANKAJ CHAUDHARY)

(a): The Resolution dated 03.11.2025 issued by the Government for the constitution of the 8th Central Pay Commission does not provide that the Commission would keep the Government updated on its consultation process during the course of its deliberations.

(b) and (c): As per Resolution dated 03.11.2025, the 8th Central Pay Commission will make its recommendations within 18 months of the date of its constitution.
