Subject:Reissuance of Training Orders for GDS Candidates Failing to Attend Initial Training – reg.

The Directorate received a reference from the U.P. Circle seeking guidance regarding a GDS candidate selected through GDS Online Engagement Schedule-I, January 2026, who failed to attend the initial training as per the original training order.

After examining the matter in consultation with CEPT, the Department has decided that if a candidate who has already reported (turned up) is unable to attend the scheduled training due to genuine reasons, the competent authority may issue a revised 3-day training order.

The revised training order should be generated through the "Edit Training Details" option by updating the revised training schedule in the portal. However, such a revised training order must be issued within 30 days from the date of the original training order to prevent misuse of the provision.

This clarification disposes of the query raised by U.P. Circle vide letter Rectt/GDS Onl. Eng/Jan-26/Corres/8 dated 02.07.2026.

The order has been issued with the approval of the Competent Authority.
