UIDAI Update: Birth Certificate Accepted for Aadhaar Name Update up to Age 18

UIDAI Notification: Dissemination of acceptance of birth certificate for name update where name was initially recorded as 'baby of'-reg.

Dear Sir/Madam,

It has come to notice from field inputs and grievances that enrolment/ update operators are still not accepting birth certificate for update of name in cases where initially enrolment had been done as 'baby of ABCD' for the age group of 5-18 years. It may be noted that while earlier such update was permitted for 0-5 age group, it has now been permitted till the age of 18 years vide amendment to list of acceptable documents (note (f) under List IV).

It is requested that the information be disseminated to all enrolment/ update operators.
