OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Guidelines for holding elective office under Rule 15(1)(c) of CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964 by Office Bearers of Service Associations/Federations – withdrawal thereof – reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s Office Memorandum number 18-01/2017-SR dated 15.09.2021, whereby additional guidelines/instructions were issued in respect of holding of elective office by Government servants who are office bearers of Service Associations/Federations, pursuant to the Department of Personnel & Training’s O.M. No. 11013/1/2016-Estt.A-III dated 27.02.2020.

With the approval of the Competent Authority, it has now been decided to withdraw the aforesaid Office Memorandum dated 15.09.2021 with immediate effect, and accordingly, the additional guidelines/instructions contained therein shall stand withdrawn and cease to have effect from the date of issue of this Office Memorandum.

This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
