Subject: Instructions on filling up of Accounts Line posts of Postal/RMS wing – reg.

The Directorate refers to its earlier letter dated 11.02.2025 regarding filling up of Account Line posts of Postal/RMS wing for consolidation with the General Line. Postal Circles were instructed to complete the DPC process for vacancy year 2026 before initiating consolidation from vacancy year 2027.

Since amendment of Recruitment Rules (RRs) and merger modalities are still under process and unlikely to be completed before 31.12.2026, all Postal Circles are directed to convene DPC for vacancy year 2027 as per existing RRs, keeping the order dated 11.02.2025 in abeyance. Consolidation will begin only after finalization of amended RRs and modalities.
