• The letter forwards copies of two Office Memorandums (OMs) from the Office of the Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance:
  • OM dated 21.08.2025 (F. No. TA-2-03002(2)/1/2020/TA-II/(E-3001)/2+4-290) regarding the ONAM festival in Kerala.
  • OM dated 22.08.2025 (F. No. 03002(2)/1/2020/TA-II/(e-3001)/24 8 - 3 / o) regarding the Ganpati festival in Maharashtra.
• The directive is to draw and disburse salaries, wages, and pensions in advance for August 2025:
  • In Kerala: On 25th August 2025 (Monday) for the ONAM festival.
  • In Maharashtra: On 26th August 2025 (Tuesday) for the Ganpati festival.
• These advance payments are subject to adjustment after the full month's dues are calculated. Any necessary adjustments will be made from the August 2025 salary/wages/pension.
• Necessary action is requested to ensure disbursement to Postal staff and pensioners.
• The issue is approved by the Competent Authority.
