Subject: Clarification regarding categories of officials eligible for Meghdoot Awards 2025- reg.

Madam / Sir,

I am directed to refer to Directorate’s letter of even no. dated 27.08.2025 regarding calling of nominations for the Meghdoot Awards 2025, wherein the revised framework, eligibility criteria, and timelines were circulated.

In this regard, it is clarified that as per the aforesaid letter, nominations for the Meghdoot Awards, 2025 are restricted to the six categories of officials for whom detailed assessment parameters and evaluation framework have already been finalized, which are as follows:

a) GDS – Branch Postmaster (BPM)

b) GDS – BPM with Delivery Duty

c) Delivery Staff (ABPM / MTS / Postman)

d) Sub-Postmaster (LSG / HSG-II) of Delivery Sub Office (SO)

e) Sub-Postmaster (LSG / HSG-II) of Non-Delivery Sub Office (SO)

f) Postmaster (HSG-I) of Head Office (HO)

Requests for inclusion of additional categories such as “Technology Excellence”, Inspector Posts / ASP cadres, Sorting Assistants, or other supervisory and clerical cadres are kept in abeyance for the current award cycle.
