Subject: Observance of National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) – October
As you are aware, the month of October is observed every year as National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM). This annual initiative aims to raise awareness about Cyber Hygiene and promote best practices in Cyber Security across the nation.
The theme for this year’s campaign is “Cyber Jagrit Bharat” (#CyberJagritBharat). The primary objective is to significantly enhance the awareness levels of all stakeholders—employees, users, and custodians of digital assets—thereby creating a robust barrier against potential cyber threats targeting our IT infrastructure.
In line with this, it is requested to leverage your good offices to organize and conduct impactful Cyber Security Awareness Campaigns during the month of October. These campaigns should aim to:
- Promote safe cyber practices
- Encourage responsible digital behavior
- Familiarize stakeholders with evolving cyber threats and how to mitigate them
An indicative list of suggested activities for NCSAM is enclosed for your reference. However, this list is not exhaustive, and you are encouraged to design innovative and locally relevant initiatives tailored to the cyber maturity levels of your respective circles. Activities such as webinars, quizzes, workshops, phishing awareness drives, digital hygiene tips, posters, and short videos can be considered.
Your active participation and leadership in this initiative will play a critical role in strengthening our organization’s cyber posture.
This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
