Subject: Revised procedure for submission of proposal for relaxation of back value date parameter

Summary of Content:
Purpose: This circular communicates a revised procedure for submitting proposals to relax the "back value date" parameter, updating the previous procedure from March 07, 2019.

Revised Procedure: Circles (regional offices) must now forward relaxation requests to the Financial Services Division, Dak Bhavan, with the specific recommendation of the Head of Circle (HoC). The proposal must include the following documents/information:
a. Details of the case.
b. Reason for seeking the relaxation.
c. A copy of the customer's complaint (if any).
d. Details of disciplinary action taken against the erring official(s), including supervisors, if the error was due to staff negligence.

Further Action: Once the request is received with the complete documentation, the Financial Services Division will examine it and forward it to CEPT (the technical team), with a copy to the concerned Circle, to implement the relaxation.

Additional Instruction: Circles are instructed to strictly monitor the Office Account (SOLID+00382) to prevent complaints regarding delays in opening accounts and crediting customers' accounts.
