A copy of the letter received from the Directorate regarding Phase wise agitational programme to be conducted by BGDKS Union for settlement of their demands.

It is requested to tackle the Strike/Demonstration situation as per standing instructions issued by the Department from time to time, besides following the guide lines mentioned below:

Wide publicity should be given to the consequences of participating in Strike/Demonstration viz. apart from the application of the principle of "no work, no pay", it may invite action under provisions of FR 17 (1). The GDS may also invite action in terms of provisions contained in GDS (Service and conduct) Rules.

Proper strategy may be chalked out in advance as per the instructions referred to above to avoid dislocation of work.

Special Casual Leave or other kind of leave should not be sanctioned to employees if applied for, during the period of the proposed Demonstration/Strike.
