Subject: One-time relaxation in service eligibility conditions for Postman/Mail Guard Examination – Vacancy Year 2026.

The undersigned is directed to refer to the Model Notification issued on 26.05.2026 for the LDCE/Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Postman, Mail Guard and Multi-Tasking Staff for the vacancy year 2026 and to say that the SPN-I Section has notified grant of one time one year relaxation in the prescribed service eligibility conditions for appearing in the examination for recruitment to the posts of Postman and Mail Guard against the vacancy year 2026 vide letter No. 03-03/2019-SPN-I (Pt.I) dated 11.06.2026. (copy enclosed)

In this regard, all concerned are requested to take necessary action to extend the benefit of one time relaxation to eligible officials while processing applications for the examination. The relaxation is a one-time measure applicable only for the vacancy year 2026 and shall not be treated as a precedent.

This may be brought to the notice of all concerned immediately.
